Marketing Planning
Very few athletes will buckle a helmet, lace up their shoes or skates, or jump in the water without a plan. Why is it that so many athletes, teams, and events approach marketing without the same structured approach? Career and Marketing planning isn’t rocket science, but you do have to treat it like a business – this is how you make money, after all!

For those of you who are or have been an athlete, my plans and process will look familiar to you. If you haven’t created a structured training program before, my plans and process will take the guesswork out of your marketing activities and let you focus on training, running your team, or organizing your event.

Athlete Career Planning:
Whether you’re just starting a career, or finishing one and figuring out your next steps, this is the big deal, first-round pick-with-an-agent treatment. We will examine everything starting at your hopes and dreams, literally. Then we translate that into a strategic plan with measurable goals, and create an action plan with specific on and offline tasks. If you need Internet support, I can spruce up existing websites, Facebook accounts, Twitter pages, or YouTube channels (preferably all of them as per our plan). I can also create these from scratch if need be. If you’ve got your own Internet skillz, I’ll help translate the plan into actions for you to take. Then, I’ll check in with you on a regular basis to adapt the plan to the changing world.

Team and Event Marketing:
Teams and Events are easy properties to market, especially if you have a huge staff to jump on every opportunity. But since you’re reading this, you don’t. In that case, we’ll set up a plan and structure to make it easy for you to evaluate opportunities quickly, react to the good ones, and still have time to actually run the show. Then, I’ll check in with you on a regular basis to adapt the plan to the changing world. If you need actual marketing support, I can do that too (for a limited number of lucky dogs).
